The temporary rebate, designed to add value during a customer’s transition to their new plan, will end effective January 1, 2026.

TORONTO – Embark Student Corp. (“Embark”), Canada’s education savings and planning company, today announced the management fee rebate provided to subscribers transferred from a Family Single Student Plan to an Embark Plan on July 1, 2024, will be removed effective January 1, 2026.

The management fee rebate of 0.66% was introduced as part of a subscriber vote held on December 12, 2023, to move all Family Single Student Plans to Embark Plans. This rebate started on July 1, 2024. It gives subscribers extra value by returning part of the management fees they paid during the transition to their new plan. Details about this change were shared in the vote’s corresponding information circular.

Effective January 1, 2026, the management fee rebate will be removed and affected plans will start paying the standard management fee of 1.65% for all Embark Plans. Embark will continue to provide all subscribers with a risk-based investment strategy, industry-leading digital tools, and simplified account management to support their education savings goals.
